Integrating eCommerce, Memberships and Affiliates |

I've implemented several shopping carts, Content Management Systems, Autoresponders, Affiliate management systems over the years. A client recently came to me requesting all that AND have it integrated with a new membership site.
They brought all kinds of suggestions for tools that someone had told them about and I reviewed them all and the tools I would normally use in light of the client's specific requirements. Then I came across an email from JROX, the makers of the affiliate management tool that I am using, announcing their new eCommerce JEM, the "only tool you'll ever need to run your store online".

For the longest time, it was quite OK to just have a website as a brochure. People would check to see if you have a website because it provided some sort of level of authority or that you spared no expense to be visible online.
That is different today. There are millions of websites out there and you have mere seconds, if that, to compel your visitors once they are attracted.
You need more than an online brochure, you need a traffic generating, viral, interactive tool for yourself and your visitors. That's a web presence!

I don't know if you noticed, but we had actually built our own company website on one of our testing sites and had taken it live there. Yesterday, I finally decided to move this LIVE site to our actual www.datagroup.com hosting server.
Having had quite a bit of experience moving sites built in Drupal, Wordpress, etc... I was expecting a somewhat painful process, expecially from a post-move cleanup perspective.
What do you think happened? ... |
